Today's the day we make our next move; we're leaving for Dinalupihan at 6:30am! We're supposed to be arriving before noon to meet and move in with our first host families. We have not heard much about our new setting other than that it might be flooded when we get there. It's been raining heavily for the past 2 days. Monday and Tuesday will bring a few meetings with local officials, our principals, and our host teachers. On a normal day, it seems as though we'll be in our school mostly all morning, observing our counterpart teacher and getting to know the school and its culture. In the afternoon we'll have 4 hours of language and technical trainings. We have no idea what internet will be like so my next blog post may not be for a while! Hopefully I'll have cell phone service so if you'd like to, you can text me on my cell phone-- it's free for me to receive but it might cost a US cell phone about 25 cents per message.
