A few months ago, Chelsea contacted IBM to ask for computer donations and was pleasantly surprised when they responded with an offer. They offered to donate their KidSmart units to her school and to conduct a training for teachers in grades K-3. Since they were going through all the trouble to hold a training in Albay and deliver units there, they asked Chelsea if she knew of any other schools who would be willing to comply with their requirements in order to obtain KidSmart units. Chels ended up inviting a few other schools in Albay, my school, and Hunter's school.
Last week, I attended the training with seven teachers and my principal to learn how to assemble and use the KidSmart unit. It seems like it's going to be a great addition to the library!
