Exploring Anne Racquel's Mountain Resort after we were evacuated.
Pretty excited about the snack spread we prepared for our friends who were stuck in the house during the flood. The mangoes (including the dried ones) here are unbelievable!
This sign marked the boundary between Bataan and Zambales... I was in 2 places at one time!

We were visited today by Harry K. Thomas, U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines! Such a fun and down to Earth guy! He's actually the 2nd person we've met who was appointed by Obama!
His advice to us: “Don’t bother making plans, but do well in everything you do. Life will work itself out.”
Kathryn meeting Mr. Thomas
In the Philippines, photos are a MUST after every event!
A "wacky" photo is even more necessary!

Wacky photo with the Peace Corps staff!
A building across the street from By the Sea.
Since we're in the Red Light District, there are so many bars and clubs like this lining the street. Subic Bay is also a U.S. Naval Base so there are signs like these everywhere, welcoming the US Military. Not surprisingly, there are creepy, old, white men everywhere here as well. Including sitting outside these clubs.
Things I miss: my host family's cooking!
