Our van to Donsol stopped short of our destination and all we understood from our driver was "high tide". We walked to the front of the line of stopped vehicles to find that the road was really flooded and people were crossing only on boats. We got in line with all of our luggage to try to cross on these tiny boats but luckily one jeepney driver decided to go for the glory and drive across.
Everyone loaded onto the jeep--there must have been at least 50 people inside and hanging all over the outside. As you can see from the video, the water came up to about 3" under the windows... but WE MADE IT! What an experience!
